Once famous for "matching" tops and bottoms in the 70s, this department store brand had gradually disappeared (along with the many department stores that once carried it). But for 2008, Garan was asked to consider bringing the brand back exclusively for WalMart.

With our insight that the childhood years are more fleeting than ever -- or, as we phrased it, that "3 is the new 5" -- we re-launched Garanimals with our charming yet intrusive "Garanimals lets kids be kids" campaign.

The brand opened strongly in 3500 WalMart stores; has established primacy over other brands WalMart carries such as Gerbers, Carters, and others; and has steadily extended into shoes, sleepwear, toys, and more.
